You can now download the words to the song – ‘Mum’s Spinning Song’ and do all the actions. Merlin and Pebbles enjoy this very much. You can also download the words to Maisie’s Travelling Christmas (for later in the year!) as well as Maisie the Animal Minder ‘s theme tune. Enjoy :) ) Love E x

Just want to say what a wonderful organisation Dogs Trust is. I have met quite a few people, including the client I am with now, who have got their dogs from Shoreham Dogs Trust. I was there myself a little while ago, donating some food, blankets and some Maisie the Animal Minder books for their stall at a fundraising event. Like all animal charities they do the most amazing work with the most amazing people.

Thank you to Your Cat Magazine for featuring a review of ‘Maisie the Animal Minder’ – my series of children’s picture book stories, all based on true stories of my life as a full time animal minder.

Somerset Levels, Whippet and Boston Terrier

Morning, I wrote a blog post this morning and went up the hill to get a signal and the post has disappeared! I do hope I am not repeating myself and posting another the same. I was saying that I leave here on Thursday to travel to Somerset to look after a Whippet, a Boston Terrier and 2 cats who are half Bengal, so should be just fabulous. New clients for me. Will be so strange and sad to leave here, such is the nature of the job as an Animal Aunt however and at some point it is always time to move on. I am so often just like Maisie the Animal Minder and shed a tear (many sometimes) when leaving the wonderful animals I look after. I shall cry bucket loads. So I’ll let you know when I arrive at my new job and about my new animals.

Animal Aunts and Bull and Calves

Hi everyone
I have just seen Animal Aunts lovely new web site. Looks great and you can find Maisie the Animal Minder on their links page too! Of course it is all down to Animal Aunts that I had stories to write about for Maisie the Animal Minder picture books.
The field across the road from where I am staying has now got a bull and about 15 young bullocks in there. These young ones love to play and charge about and nice to see they are with an adult, their dad. When I went out last thing fir dogs to do their wee weed before bed they were all charging around chasing each other, including the bull, he was just like one of the calves, tail up charging around but about 5 times their size. Later I saw a couple of them washing and grooming his head, he was living it. What a beautiful sight in the mists while the sun was setting

East Grinstead today

Morning everyone East Grinstead today 3 cats and 5 chickens. Nice and easy and lots of new laid eggs, hurray. I can have my absolute favourite breakfast of boiled egg and soldiers- yummy. Light just starting to change so hens will be ready to get up in minute, good thing about my job I can pop out in my pyjamas, hair messed from sleep and no make up and still do my job! How great animals don’t mind what you look like. My grand daughter has received her copy of Maisie the Animal Minder book and wouldn’t go to bed without it last night (she’s 2 and a half). I had a confession from Gill at Animal Aunts yesterday that they put on theme tune to Masie the Animal Minder and have a little dance round the office! Can’t wait to see that. So I will be fussing cats today and catching up with a few jobs, washing and ironing, clean my poor dirty car if it’s not too cold and wet, finish a wedding shawl I am making for Migdalia, maybe read in front of fire for afternoon, sometimes it’s a very hard life being an animal minder. I LOVE IT! Speak soon love E x
